... not only sad but pathetic when most of these children could walk to a safe and good school that has a great program to assist the gifted and talented students. ... Every neighborhood school deserves a gateway program for gifted students.

Gifted students create downtown walking tour

A few dozen seventh graders are giving history lessons to Baton Rouge visitors…Melanie Hanley’s seventh-grade gifted-and-talented students at Glasgow Middle School have been working feverishly all school year on the first walking tour of historic downtown Baton Rouge…If things go as planned, the tour will used to create a brochure that will be available for downtown visitors.
