Berry Creek kids learned from pros

In the Enriched Accelerated Gifted Learning Experiences class, students had an entire semester to design independent projects… Anne Dunlevie, president of the Gifted Education Team of Eagle County, connected 10 of the 33 students with mentors in the community who offered expertise relevant to each project.

Academy turns work into child's play

What do students need at school to keep them growing? That's a key question when looking at gifted and talented programs… they need quite a bit, especially more individually tailored programs, more pace and more specially-trained teachers to deliver relevant and challenging lessons…

Meanwhile, for gifted and talented students who need a challenge, expeditionary learning would give them a chance to go above and beyond what they would get in a normal classroom setting. The projects are very personal, and they can make them as challenging and extensive as they want to.
